The death has taken place of Dr. Eckhard R. Lucius (Germany)
When the EUSO was just a concept he was very supportive. He attended the first Governing Body meeting in Dublin in May 2002 as the representative of the German government. His contributions helped shape the EUSO as it is today. He was Country Coordinator for Germany, the EUSO 2007 Director in Potsdam and he was elected EUSO Vice President in 2011.
Our sympathies to his wife Christine, his sons Tobias and Lennart and his daughter Julia.
The EUSO has lost a great man. May he rest in peace
